AmericanPolemic.com is a free blogging and publishing forum, as well as a free discussion forum for topics related to posted blogs and articles. Anyone with a computer and internet access may become a contributing columnist. Original material concerning any topic or subject may be posted, but articles and essays dealing with socio-political subject matter are particularly encouraged. AmericanPolemic.com is a free speech tool, and thus maintains ideological neutrality. No article, posting or comment, however controversial in nature, will be rejected or removed solely on the basis of the views or opinions expressed therein. However, posted material that fails to conform to the site rules and guidelines, or is judged to be lacking in quality or substance, will be removed at the webmaster's discretion.

In order to help maintain a reasonable standard in posted material, contributors are asked to provide identifying information including name and email address. This information is utilized solely for quality-control purposes, and is not and will never be re-sold or re-distributed in any way, shape, matter or form (email addresses will never display on any publicly accessible section of this web site). Also for purposes of quality control, the IP addresses of both contributors and those submitting comments in reference to posted material are recorded.

Material posted by contributors is reviewed for quality of content and conformity to site rules and guidelines prior to being displayed on AmericanPolemic.com. New articles and postings are usually reviewed within 24 hours of submission. If a posting is rejected, a brief explanation is provided within the contributor's account. Contributors may not edit posted material that has already been approved. Approved postings are displayed chronologically on the home page, and are also be available via search. If a contributor repeatedly violates site rules and guidelines, or is discovered to have tried to circumnavigate the approval process via "hack" attempts or other experimentation with the web site system outside of its intended usage parameters, that contributor will be banned from the system via email address, ip address or both.

Reader comments submitted in response to contributor posts are not screened prior to display on the site, and consequently are equipped with a "report this comment" link, through which violations of site rules and guidelines believed to be represented by the comment content may be reported. Comment submitters who are found to be in violation of the site rules and guidelines will be banned from the system via ip address.

Each contributor is allotted two megabytes of storage space for accompanying image files that he or she may wish to upload and include with specific articles and postings. Image files provided by contributors may be shared with other contributors at the original provider's discretion.
